Just thought I'd let ya peek into my world.....

This litle brown dog is Beano.  He came to us about April 2010. He just showed up in the back yard.  Noone knows where he came from or how he got there.  He was emaciated and dehydrated.  The vet pegged him at about 4 months old at the time.  Now at two years old he is my offical best bud and lap warmer....
This is Sable (doberman) and Luke, Blue Heeler aka Australian Cattle Dog. Sable is 12 and Luke is 11.  Sable hates the cold, btw.  :)  These two are inseparable buds....

The calico is Miss Kitty. She came by way of our oldest daughter.  When Chelsea had babies, she found out Miss Kitty didn't like small children too well.  She also doesn't like other animals...But she tolerates everyone so long as they leave her alone....she was not supposed to be a permanant resident, but uh, 4 years later me thinks she is here to stay.....She is about 7.
And these two knuckleheads are Natasha (gray) and Borris (black)  ... yes from Rocky and Bullwinkle. They are six now...both of them.  Natasha is my Wal Mart ktty, she was this little bundle of fluff, so sweet, so cute and now she believes herself to be Queen of the Realm.  Borris is our boy kitty and he just love sto aggravate the girls....

This is my precious granddaughter Amelia Skye.  She is 5 years old now.  This pix was taken on our tirp to Panama City Beach last July.
This is my adorable grandson Logan Jackson; we call him Jack after my dad, Jack Hood, his great grandfather.  : )  He is 4.
This is Tom, my best friend, partner in crime, and (shh this one's a secret) my knight in shining armor.  (Don't tell, he'll get the big head!).  oh yeah, also my husband.  That's our granddaughter grinning behind him!
This is our oldest daughter Chelsea being inducted into Delta Mu Delta.  This is a sorority for Business majors.  She graduated with her four year degree this past December!
And this is our youngest, Olivia Phoenix.  She is ten and in the fifth grade.  She keeps us young...

I will post pix of my son...as soon as I find one?????  I had family pix take back in November, but darn it can't find the disk!

I am a simple person, I work.  I love my work....Massage and Reiki.  It just doens't get much better.  I bowl on a league on Sunday nights....that's our fun night.  Tom and I love to boat, fish, go on family trips...work around the house.  And now, I am learning about eagles.  I have him interested in watching the birds on the bird feeder....we get a nice variety around here....

I hope to get to know each of you better as time goes on.  Find and friend me on Facebook if you like, Just find Janet Neely, I'm in the belly dancer costume...can't miss me.  But for now...my book THE TAO OF POOH came in, so I must sign off and have some time to read.  Happy Birthday to me....had a massage, went did some shoppng, my book came in the mail and I blogged today!  woo hoo!

Til Later, ya'll

Namaste.

Day 1 2012 ---starting to blog.....

Happy New Year 2012:
I start not with resolutions but with thankfulness:
I am thankful for my family, who knows me, knows who I am,  knows, all too well my faults, and loves me despite of myself.  J
I am thankful for my friends, who do pretty much the same….they are close to my heart and many have been adopted by my heart as my family in this journey.
I am thankful to look in my fridge, while getting cream for my morning coffee, that not only are my friendship pantries full, but so are my food pantries and stores.  What a blessing to have a warm home, nice things, and food for our bellies.  And, even more, food for our spirits as well.
I miss my parents and wish a better relationship with my blood-relation sisters.  But I am working on that.  No one is perfect and we must have challenges in our journey.
I am thankful for those who have walked this journey with me and then left; or perhaps I left.  Our travels together taught us each something and we have gone our separate ways for reasons.  I send you with light, love and blessings.
I am thankful for business opportunities and for those who believe in me.  I am thankful that I believe in myself!
2012 may be a challenging year.  Fear mongers around will try to scare us that the end is near.  Truthfully, this is something we never know from day to day.  There are those who are storing up supplies and such waiting for Dec 21, Yule 2012.  Bless them.  They remind us to be vigilant and remember we never know when our last day is in the journey and in this place.  So live for today, make plans for tomorrow, and always be thankful.
Blessed Be.
